Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences (FPZ), University of Zagreb (CB 4)

The Faculty was established in 1970 and is regarded as a regional leader in higher education and research for traffic engineering and transport.

The faculty cooperates closely with government bodies, SMEs, non-profits related to traffic and transport planning, and other bodies in Croatia and abroad in order to creative actions in traffic and transport & logistics solutions, both in Croatia and in the neighboring countries, and ensure that graduates from FPZ have the top skills and knowledge needed to work in transport-related fields.

The basic activities of FPZ are mostly related to higher education and research in the fields of transport engineering, aeronautics, rail traffic, environmental impacts related to transport, and occupational health and safety.  Since 1982, the faculty has provided higher education to students in the field of railway engineering and is regarded a regional leader. The faculty also includes issues and methods of controlling rail traffic in its new education program - ITS – Intelligent Transport Systems and Logistics Program.
