Invitation to the final event for the EU project „SELF PROP RAIL“

We kindly invite you to participate in the final event of the project „SELF PROP RAIL,“ which will be held on 01.09.2016 at the headquarters of RZV Ltd. 

SELF PROP RAIL is co-financed by the European Union via the CIP Eco-innovation Initiative.

The purpose of the project is to develop and commercialize the main innovation of RZV Ltd: the Self-propelled bulk carriage.

SELF PROP RAIL brings to the market the self-propelled bulk carriage designed for resource-efficient (re)construction of railway infrastructure.

SELF PROP RAIL contributes to enhancing resource-efficient (re)construction of railway infrastructure. The self-propelled bulk carriage does not need a locomotive for shuffling and moving during cargo unloading processes and at the same time can discharge required amounts of construction materials precisely where needed.

The carriage saves energy, human resources and shortens the time of transportation and unloading. It is cost and time efficient, it enables point-to-point transportation, and there is no need for cost-intensive cargo manipulation machinery for freight handling or time-intensive coupling and reloading processes.

The consortium consists of 4 project partners: RŽV d.o.o. (Project coordinator), University of Zagreb – Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences (FPZ), Superna Ltd. from Čakovec, Croatia; and Altius Ltd. from Ptuj, Slovenia. The partners have expertise in key aspects of the project: technical solutions, testing, life-cycle analysis, marketing and project management. The project has been implemented in Croatia and its neighbouring countries, and the entire EU-28 is considered as the potential market.

The total value of the project is 889.386.00 EUR. The EU co-financing via CIP Eco-innovation is 50% of the project value or 444.693,00 EUR.

During the final event, RŽV will show how the self-propelled wagon functions. The consortium will also present the project to the public.

Date and time of the event: 10:00 – 13:00, Thursday, 01.09.2016 

Event schedule:

• 10:00 – 10:15 – Opening of the event and project presentation (Dražen Vidović, Director of RŽV Ltd. and Patrick Galeski from Superna Ltd.)
• 10:15 – 11:15 – Demonstration of the functions of the self-propelled wagon + questions and answer period.
• 11:15 – 12:00 – Refreshments and light lunch
